Over the summer there has been made some line-up changes to Get Me. Two long standing members have been switched moving on to the autumn.

Ukko Heinonen (Saxophones) -> Tuure Mäkinen (Saxophones)

The long standing saxophone player of Get Me, Ukko Heinonen has stepped aside to make room for a young, smooth and sexy Tuure Mäkinen. Tuure has already been playing with Get Me for the complete spring 2013 and now (as an unrestricted free agent) he has signed a long term (reportedly multi-million) contract with the band. He´s been supposed to bring a whole lot more hip movement to the Get Me´s horn section. Welcome to the roster, man who handles the gamble, sax and loves to lives dangerously: Tuure Mäkinen!

(Also Ukko has been said to still maintain in Get Me as a background person, making possible features and cooperation with Get Me in the future.)


Jaakko Kulo (Bass & backing vocals) -> Viljami Vaarala (Bass)

The forthcoming father Jaakko has also moved aside from the Get Me line-up because of all the challenges in his schedules and renewed family situation. For years Jaakko has contributed to the Get Me´s sound on the low frequencies, bass and backing vocals.

No worries ladies and gentlemen. (Especially all the ladies!) The man coming in to handle the engine department won´t let you down with his bass lines, positive energy and impressive outlook. Prince of old-school hip-hop, high priest of funk, Viljami Vaarala has entered the building. Mr. Vaarala´s hefty and masculine laugh and the Governator imitations have already melted the hearts of the other band members. Next he will melt your ears. Let´s welcome: Viljami Vaarala.


Updates on the vocal front - Antti Peltola to backing vocals

The gap in vocals left by Jaakko´s departure has been filled in no time with Antti Peltola´s golden voice. Next to drumming, Antti will now team up with the man with the precious falsetto, Valtteri Mikkola, in the backing vocals section. Along with the "funk jesus" Lauri on the leading vocals, the threesome forms the soulful vocal section of Get Me. You´ll be hearing this triphonic heavenly singing in the late 2013.
